Description Conversion Laborer (Aud)
Job S tatus: Continuous Part-Time
Pay & Grade : $ 21.63 to $22.50 hourly , Band: 3
Hours of Work : up to 24 hours per week
Initial location: The Aud
Posting period: August 14, 2025 to August 17, 2025 (at 6 p.m.)
Overview The Aud, a premier sports and entertainment facility in Southern Ontario, is currently recruiting high-energy Part-Time Conversion Laborers. These positions are primarily responsible for event conversions at the Kitchener Auditorium, including setup and maintenance tasks.
This positions s hift can vary at different times during a 7 day work week, but predominantly the work is completed from midnight into the early morning hours depending on scheduled facility programming.
Responsibilities
- Event Setup: Cover rink floors, build stages, set up basketball courts, arrange chairs, and lay out extension cords.
- On-Ice Activities: Assist with on-ice activities, including pushing nets, pre-game activities, and cruising.
- Ground Maintenance: Perform outside ground maintenance, such as shoveling and salting stairs, entrances, and sidewalks, and picking up litter.
- Task Logging: Log tasks as completed.
- Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Education: Partial high school education.
- Experience: Minimum 1 month of related experience, including event setup.
- Team Player: Must be a team player with a customer service focus.
- Policy Adherence: Adhere to policies and procedures of The Aud.
- Physical Ability: Able to lift up to 50 lbs. while working together with a team, as required.
- Reliability: Must be reliable with a positive attitude and good employment record.
