We’re looking for a Team Leader who will be responsible for the daily management of a team of Disability Claim Specialists. The Team leader will have the accountability of meeting productivity and quality standards. The Team Leader will also provide ongoing coaching and development for team members.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary resource for your team members in determining direction and procedures for complex claims by providing information, answering questions and requests.
- Communicate with different stakeholders in order to effectively manage relationships.
- Contribute to department strategic goals by gathering pertinent business, financial, service and operations information; identify and evaluate trends and opportunities and define objectives and evaluate outcomes.
- Demonstrate strong analysis and resolve quality and client service problems and identify trends while seeking out operational efficiencies.
- Build a stable team through recruiting qualified talent, training employees and providing guidance in career development.
- Contribute to the organization’s effectiveness by offering information and opinions at Team Leader meetings and building and maintaining inter- and intradepartmental relationships.
Qualifications
- Education: Post-secondary education in business, medical or rehabilitation management.
- Work Experience: Two years or more of people management combined with two to three years of direct work experience in Life and Disability insurance.
- Other Qualifications: Insurance designation (LOMA or other) will be considered an asset.
- Language Skills: Bilingualism in English and French is an asset, but not a requirement.
Pay Range : $ 88,158-$ 110,197 (CAD)

The Base Pay range may vary depending on the successful candidate or other relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and education/training. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Medavie employees may participate in various performance-based incentive programs.
