Job Summary:

Reporting to the Maintenance Services Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation and maintenance of insulation, cladding and light sheet metal for process equipment and buildings. You will collaborate within the Maintenance Department and across other functional areas.

Job Description:

What you’ll do:

• Support and participate in all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs and activities
• Apply insulation, cladding, etc, according to specifications in a cost-effective method.
• Maintain asbestos on site as per Ministry guidelines
• Assist in planning of related work and procurement of sufficient material stock levels to ensure quick response to priority needs
• Provide direction and supervision for additional short-term insulators as required
• Work in a proficient, professional and cost-efficient manner relating to time and materials.
• Safely use hand and power tools, measuring instruments and other equipment required to complete assigned tasks
• Provide support to other trades within Maintenance Services
• Utilize SAP to submit hours, add parts and document work order history
• Responsible for proper daily housekeeping in the shop and in the field
• Comply with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements for each task.
• Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Complete computer-based learning modules and assigned training within timelines.
• Achieve and maintain competency in all functions of assigned maintenance area and provide technical support and guidance to other members of the team
• Complete all required training to achieve fully qualified status within the Maintenance Technician Proficiency Program

Required Skills:

• Commitment to safety as the embodiment of corporate culture, responsibility and accountability
• Must have completed a minimum of Grade 12 education or equivalent including Math and English.
• Must be a licensed 253A Heat and Frost Insulator
• Type 3 Asbestos Certification an asset
• At least 5 years’ experience related to maintenance in an industrial plant. Previous chemical production or refinery exposure will be considered an asset
• Must be willing to work overtime as required to support safe operations of the plant
• Knowledgeable in the use of various tools and have excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability and willingness to work with other trades in the Maintenance Department
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel
• CF Industries (Terra International Canada Inc.) is deemed a safety-sensitive manufacturing site. Estimated Base Hourly Rate: $46.40/hour – $69.30/hour

The actual base hourly rate is dependent upon various factors such as education/certifications, training, skills, qualifications, competencies, years of experience, job-related knowledge, scope of the role, and location.

The estimated base hourly rate shown does not factor in any applicable premiums.
