We’re looking for a Mortgage Administrator to join the MCAN’s Residential Lending team. This is a contractual role for 6 months.

This job posting is a replacement role, and we are seeking to appoint a new team member to fill this existing position. The successful candidate will be expected to continue and build on the important work and responsibilities associated with this role, ensuring continuity and ongoing contribution to our team’s objectives.

Job Summary

MCAN is on a mission to build better mortgage solutions for Canadians who want a simpler, more personal experience with their mortgage lender. Reporting to the Director, Operations and Internal Sales, the Mortgage Administrator is accountable for the completion of administrative tasks associated with the on-boarding of new mortgage brokers/agents and processing of Residential Lending mortgage applications and documents.

What you will be responsible to do:

  • Submit on-boarding requests for new brokerages and agents to management
  • Pull and vet licenses, MBRCC checks and historical funding data for broker on-boarding
  • Maintain and update new deal tracker for mortgage applications
  • Manage the Documents inbox and ensure that they are handled within the established SLA
  • Create new deal records on Mortgage Fulfilment portal and assign deals to Mortgage Fulfillment Officers
  • Continuity Report: reconciliation of loan movement (i.e. paid out, renewed, newly funded)
  • Upload documents for loans/renewals in CNG/Safe Instruct mortgage files
  • Liase with external and internal stake holders to complete administrative tasks in support of Residential Lending

The work experience, skills, education that you bring:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the mortgage industry
  • You’re a self-starter, have a positive attitude and lead by example
  • Experienced with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and other database systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to foster and maintain strong business relationships
  • Organized and process-oriented, with strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to work under high pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
