About the role
In this key role, you will oversee several sites within the City of Brampton. Your role will be to monitor numerous systems including fire and life safety, access control and CCTV. You will assist in tracking and deployment of security staff and handle a variety of dispatch duties including incident call taking.
- Utilizing Two-way Radio Communication and Perspective Software
- Overseeing the tracking and deployment of security personnel across all of City of Brampton sites
- Monitor numerous systems including fire and life safety
- Access control and parking
- Assign reports to security personnel when required using reporting software
- Investigate routine incidents
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of dispatch security or related experience
- Post Secondary education in a Law Enforcement/Security program from a recognized college is an asset
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C with AED certification
- Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health Act
- High School Diploma or GED
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Current, or ability to obtain a Security License
- Certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and MOAB, or willingness to complete Paladin's training (covered by Paladin with a 6-month commitment)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Comfort working in high crowd, high noise, and occasionally stressful environments
- Highly proficient in providing regular verbal and written reports
