The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the execution of regulated facilities programs across Canada. This role will be responsible for managing General Plant Maintenance Capital (GPMC) projects and overseeing maintenance initiatives related to process safety critical equipment. Working closely with internal stakeholders, field teams, contractors, and consultants, you will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and delivering projects while ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements. This opportunity is ideal for a project professional who thrives in complex operational environments and enjoys driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Manage General Plant Maintenance Capital (GPMC) projects involving process safety critical equipment Oversee maintenance and capital projects to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and corporate requirements Develop project execution schedules and spending forecasts in collaboration with Project Controls and support teams Direct and coordinate the work of external consultants, contractors, and field resources Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and other internal stakeholders to support successful project delivery Optimize resource allocation and support field implementation activities Identify opportunities for data integrity improvements, cost savings, and program optimization Monitor project scope, budget, schedule, risks, and performance throughout the project lifecycle Support the development and implementation of project management tools, standards, and best practices Provide regular project updates, reporting, and communication to stakeholders
What You Bring
Proven project management experience within industrial, energy, utilities, facilities, or regulated environments Experience managing capital maintenance projects and coordinating multiple stakeholders Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management Ability to manage external contractors, consultants, and field resources effectively Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Strong analytical skills with experience identifying operational improvements and cost-saving opportunities Ability to work collaboratively across Operations, Engineering, and Project Controls teams Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of regulatory and safety requirements within industrial or energy operations is considered an asset
