About the role
Position: Baker’s Assistant Reports to: Culinary Manager, GM
We are looking for a Baker’s Assistant to join ourteam! Our Baker’s Assistant will be working closely with the Lead Baker and bakery team to support our product efforts. This includes baking, testing new and existing products or ingredients, and preparing product for each day.
Opportunities
In this role, you will have the chance to apply your problem-solving skills and showcase your knowledge of baking and food principles! You will have opportunities to work on exciting R&D and baking challenges and use your creativity and resourcefulness to achieve unique solutions. You may work odd hours on occasion, including early morning shifts, to accommodate our customer and operational needs. There will be opportunities to grow your skills, learn our unique processes, and with time, develop into a subject matter expert!

- You are meticulous, analytical, and resourceful with your work
- You are patient and have a keen eye for detail and accuracy
- You are an excellent communicator who works well with different personalities
Knowledge & skills
- You have strong working knowledge of traditional bakery ingredients and products
- You understand bakery production principles, processes, and equipment
- You have strong baking skills
Nice-to-Have
- Product development and R&D experience
- Prior experience in a commercial bakery or food production facility
- Cake decorating skills

- Produce baked goods in a detailed and timely manner each day
- Formulate existing products to meet objectives
- Provide support to the bakery team
