As a Purchasing Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing technical and administrative assistance by managing orders and data; ensuring vendor compliance and accuracy as well as providing efficient, concise, and timely product information. Your responsibilities will focus on offering assistance and enhancing the efficiency of purchasing procedures.
This position predominantly involves desk-based computer work within an office setting, with occasional physical demands.

What You Will Do:
- Support the Textile & Accents Category
- Perform extensive computer-based tasks, utilizing various software and tools (largely Excel)
- Gather and share product knowledge and details to support new product launches
- Collaborate with and support various internal departments including the Warehouse, Marketing, Ecommerce, and Customer Care teams
- Create, review, and update product knowledge and pricing materials using established tools
- Issue, maintain, and update purchase orders using established parameters
- Conduct regular visits to our distribution center for hands-on sample inspections, evaluating technical qualities and ensuring product standards are met
- Continually review order ship dates by following up with vendors and Import Coordinators
- Communicate and coach vendors on established shipping requirements
- This role involves a significant amount of follow-up work, whether it's coordinating with internal team members or communicating with vendors
Who You Are:
- You are proactive and responsive; understanding the importance of timely actions to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
- You are adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity and change
- You possess a natural curiosity and thrive on solving challenges, recommending and implementing process improvements/solutions
- You have high attention to detail and accuracy and perform tasks with precision
- You excel at handling repetitive tasks but can easily adapt and adjust priorities as circumstances require
- You have exceptional organizational and follow-up skills
What You Bring:
- Minimum 2 years of retail experience preferred
- Knowledge of SAP is an asset
- Education, training, or experience in supply chain management an asset
- Intermediate MS Office skills – Outlook, Word, Excel
- Ability to manage high workload in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize with strong organizational skills
- Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate in written and verbal formats – including strong email communication skills
