What You Will Do Our Toronto office is seeking undergraduate students to join the team as a Co-op in Winter 2027 and Summer 2027 as a part of our Risk Services practice.

Our Forensic Services Team Forensic investigations, disputes and regulatory compliance of today demand a practice that's invested in tomorrow. Forensic Disputes & Investigations Using cutting-edge technology and court-tested methodologies, KPMG Forensic professionals help clients to manage the risks of fraud, misconduct, and regulatory non-compliance; maintain organizational integrity; manage reputational risk; address and simplify issues related to litigation (including avoidance); and limit financial exposure to loss. We help uncover the facts and create clarity when people and organizations do not agree, or where financial and business behaviour does not comply with expectations.

By joining Forensic Disputes & Investigations, you can offer support after an incident to help our clients investigate allegations of fraud and misconduct, quantify losses in a commercial dispute, provide expert witness services, and recover damages.

What You Bring To The Role You strive to make a meaningful and positive difference alongside your peers, to work collaboratively and with innovation at the forefront. You’re passionate about being involved in your local community and post-secondary institution and have a proven ability to achieve personal and professional success while being curious as you learn emerging practices and technologies.

You demonstrate the following

  • University student with an interest in/working towards a CPA designation.
  • Personal interest in topics such as fraud, bribery and corruption, ethics, business valuations and the legal sector.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and the ability to identify and define issues in a clear and articulate manner.
  • Ability to apply professional skepticism and critically evaluate information.
  • In-depth knowledge of the MS Office suite.
  • Experience in an accounting-related role an asset.

Due to the sensitive and consequential nature of the work performed by the Disputes & Investigations team, co-op opportunities are most relevant to those candidates who have demonstrated the ability to operate successfully in a professional setting.

KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information The expected base salary range for this position is $45,000 to $62,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
