Reports to: Engineering Manager
Responsibilities
-
Prepare, schedule, coordinate, assign, and monitor assigned engineering projects and delegated responsibilities.

Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.

Design products, manufacturing equipment or rooms. Source and procure equipment and/or components as needed.

Create estimates, bills, and invoices, and receive payments from customers.

Interact and cooperate with clients and external vendors to interpret their needs and requirements to represent them by providing technical support and assistance.

Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans) and report regularly on project status.

Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.

Work hands-on in the manufacturing setting to facilitate projects until completion.

Create and/or modify P&ID layouts in collaboration with in-house process and/or Automation Engineers.

Collaborate with internal Operation teams on implementing engineering projects.

Research technical information on plant control devices.
-
Suggest process improvements for engineering projects.

Compliance with all rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements, etc.

Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP.

Other duties as assigned.
Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required
- Experience working in food manufacturing is an asset
- Ability to apply engineering principles and knowledge to solve problems
- Ability to lead multiple projects in a cross-functional environment while delivering significant results
- An ambitious self-starter with strong desire to grow professionally
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Suite of Applications, AutoCAD), and instructional software. Knowledge of MS Project is an asset
- Skill in organization, analysis, time management, prioritization, and the ability to meet deadlines for multiple tasks
- Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Commitment to continuous improvement and quality of support and service
- Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
- NB: Successful candidates will be required to provide photo ID, banking details, a valid SIN number, and (if applicable) a valid work permit
