Reporting to the Finance Manager, Corporate Consolidations and working with our global Husky Finance teams, the Intercompany Analyst is responsible for end-to-end process of Intercompany Accounting such as, reviewing and verifying intercompany charges, reviewing and resolving out of balance/intercompany reconciling items and Intercompany account netting/settlement. This role provides exposure to senior and executive levels of management, global scope, significant complexity (number of entities, structures and currencies) and the opportunity to work with multiple finance teams such as accounting, tax, treasury and business support.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and recording of Intercompany elimination entries for global entities
• Accurate and detailed review of intercompany invoices/transactions
• Process/execute required inter/intra countries settlement and payment application in AX
• Preparation of accurate intercompany reconciliations as part of the settlement/netting process
• Work with AR team to troubleshoot and process unposted settlement batches
• Dealing in multiple currencies and ensure correct accounting/intercompany entries based on transaction and functional currencies
• Liaise and co-ordinate with global entities and relevant stakeholders for any outstanding issues between the group companies
• Work with IT to enable automation of intercompany netting and settlements process in AX
• Continuously evaluate and assist in the implementation of improvement of intercompany processes to meet evolving stakeholders’ requirements
• Develop work instructions and deliver training materials to regional finance teams
• Ensure that all work is effectively performed in a consistent and timely manner
• Create and update summary progress reports for on-going global netting/settlement process
• Ensure proper documentation is in place related to the work performed
• Provide support as required during the annual/periodic audits/reviews
• Provide support in month, quarter and yearly close processes as required
• Resolve Intercompany accounting related issues and disputes or escalate as required
• Assist in adhoc analysis including other duties and projects as required

Requirements

• University education in Business, Accounting or equivalent
• CPA designation or pursuing a CPA designation
• Proficient in using Excel (vlookups, Pivot tables etc.) and other office applications
• Microsoft AX Dynamics and OneStream experience would be a definite asset
• 3 to 5 year(s) experience in accounting/finance discipline with a focus on dealing with multi-currency Intercompany transactions
• Demonstrated experience in dealing with Intercompany reconciliations, transactions and eliminations
