ABOUT THE COMMUNITY
The Brochet Adult Learning Centre serves about 20 adult learners each year. Brochet is a picturesque and peaceful community located on the northeastern shore of Reindeer Lake. Access is via daily scheduled flights from Thompson, MB and by winter road. The community has a population of approximately 600 people with community services such as a Northern Store, nursing station, community hall/youth centre, baseball diamond and outdoor skating rink.

WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor of Education Degree and valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for)
- Experience teaching adults and knowledge of adult learning principles
- An academic generalist who is familiar with literacy and numeracy instruction and is also proficient in both the current English Language Arts and Mathematics Grade 9-12 Manitoba curriculum
- An individual who is outgoing, flexible and self-motivated
- Ability to cultivate a positive and successful learning environment
- A sound knowledge of and experience with school-based technology
- Experience working in a northern community (considered an asset)
