What we are looking for:

We are currently seeking a customer-focused Parts Advisor for our Queenston Chevrolet, Buick, GMC location who thrives on creating exceptional first impressions and guiding customers in selecting the right parts for their needs. You’re someone who listens actively, pays attention to detail, and takes pride in delivering outstanding service at the parts counter. You’re passionate about providing a personalized, knowledgeable experience for every customer. You know how to build lasting relationships, meet sales targets, and keep customers coming back.

As a team player, you work well with all departments in the dealership and consistently represent our values and standards to ensure satisfaction in every interaction.

About the Role

Reporting to the Parts Manager, the Parts Advisor plays a critical role in understanding customer needs and guiding them to select the right parts for their needs. You are detail-oriented, personable, and knowledgeable, committed to providing a premium, personalized experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Relationship Management

  • Greet customers promptly and courteously, both in person and over the phone.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and concerns professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Prioritize customer satisfaction by addressing issues as a first priority.
  • Deliver personalized service to enhance the customer experience.
  • Effectively manage complaints and ensure resolution aligns with dealership standards.

Parts and Service Support

  • Accurately identify customer vehicle parts needs using historical data and current input.
  • Ask diagnostic questions to determine precise parts requirements.
  • Recommend appropriate repairs and maintenance services when applicable.
  • Provide clear estimates on parts pricing, availability, and delivery timelines.
  • Handle incoming phone inquiries and return messages promptly.
  • Educate customers on vehicle care, manufacturer specifications, and warranty maintenance.
  • Regularly lift and move items exceeding 50 lbs as part of daily responsibilities.
  • Maintain accurate records for inventory, shipments, and deliveries.

Attention to Detail & Organization

  • Ensure personal and team workspaces are clean and organized.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and high standards of hygiene.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Keep all forms, pricing guides, and department materials current.
  • Label, inventory, and assign parts with accuracy and attention to process.
  • Ensure all customer and inventory-related documentation is handled efficiently.

Commitment to Brand and Dealership Standards

  • Complete all required dealership training and certifications.
  • Stay informed about current manufacturer promotions and dealership specials.
  • Maintain knowledge of new parts, updates, and offerings.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to promote the dealership and grow the business.

Industry Knowledge & Continuous Learning

  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive products, and pricing.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of parts, accessories, and key vehicle features.

  • Willingness and availability to work evening and weekend shifts as required.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Post-secondary certificate or coursework is considered an asset.
  • Basic understanding of automotive mechanical principles is preferred.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as required
