YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the Superintendent, Process Plant, you will be part of the Process Plant Department. You will be responsible for leading the development of the Process Plant Maintenance Readiness Plan (ORP) and for providing fixed plant maintenance expertise for the Hope Bay Project and its future operation. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Work closely with the Engineering & Construction team to provide maintenance expertise on process and infrastructure design and equipment acquisition as required;
- Lead, coordinate and execute the Process Plant Maintenance ORP;
- Structure the department document control and gather OEM information as the project progresses;
- Ensure timely asset creation and detailed data entry in JDE;
- Elaborate maintenance strategies and programs such as Preventive Maintenance, Reliability & Condition Monitoring and Corrosion protection;
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure cost-effective onsite inventory of critical spares, maintenance parts and materials;
- Develop and support the implementation of maintenance management workflow processes and Key Performance Indicators;
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, such as suppliers and service providers;
- Participate to the departmental budget and Life of Mine (LOM) process.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology Diploma or Trade Certification combined with extensive work experience in fixed plant maintenance and reliability;
- 10 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a mine processing plant environment.
- Experience in remote mine site in the arctic is considered an asset;
- Comprehensive experience in multiple aspects of fixed plant maintenance and asset life cycle management;
- Knowledge of mill production equipment and mine site standards, policies, procedures and processes;
- Proficiency in JDE and excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
Note that the official working language at our Hope Bay Project is English.
Your Work Schedule

This position follows a hybrid work model, combining remote work and site presence, with periodic travel to the mine site based on operational needs.

Hybrid Schedule: 5/2 (Monday to Friday) working from home following by another 5/2 schedule working from home followed by a 7/7 schedule (7 days on site, 7 days off). During the the project phase, mobility to different locations may be required for meetings and visits.

Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
