We have an exciting opportunity to grow your career at Canpotex! We are accepting applications for a temporary Coordinator, Vessel Administration to join our Ocean Transportation team. This position is expected to last approximately 12 months and is based in Saskatoon.

Headquartered in Saskatoon with three international offices, we are one of the world's largest suppliers of potash overseas. On behalf of our Shareholders, Mosaic and Nutrien, we market and deliver Saskatchewan potash, a valuable fertilizer nutrient, to millions of fields and farmers globally - ultimately helping the world grow more food.
The Opportunity:
- Interpret and implement Charter Party terms to validate Hire and Freight invoices.
- Secure financial approvals in compliance with Canpotex’s Financial Policy.
- Assign vessel identifiers and update enterprise systems.
- Manage payment schedules and ensure timely processing of voyage-related invoices.
- Review external service invoices and submit them to designated approvers.
- Audit port disbursements and verify bunker purchase invoices against sales orders.
- Update the Sanctions Monitoring reports for the Ocean Transportation department.
- Oversee the Vessel Administration Department inbox and maintain electronic filing systems within Vessel Administration.
You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting/Finance or a related field.
- Minimum two to three years’ experience in Accounting/Finance, Ocean Transportation, Vessel Operations or scheduling, or experience in export documentation.
Talent Profile:
- Finance & Ocean Transportation Expertise: Proven knowledge of financial processes, including invoice validation, cost allocation, and payment scheduling, to ensure accurate and efficient management of ocean transportation expenses.
- Technology Proficiency: Advanced computer skills, including tracking and analyzing data in Excel, and quickly learning new software and technologies.
- Team Partnership: Demonstrated ability to communicate, connect, and collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
- Flexibility and Responsiveness: Ability to set priorities and organize workloads to meet changing demands and deadlines.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrated commitment to accuracy when handling documents, consistently spotting errors and ensuring all information is clear, precise, and well-presented.
