Position Summary:
Reporting to the immediate supervisor, the thermal power plant manager or their replacement, the maintenance attendant is responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment and instruments related to their activities. The incumbent is also responsible for the daily maintenance of all air conditioning and refrigeration machines in the plant.
Qualifications:
Hold a 2nd class Steam and B Refrigeration Stationary Engine Mechanic certificate, issued by the Regie du Batiment du Quebec.
Additional Details:
Status: Permanent, Full-time
Allowances: Premium of $5/hour
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 6:00 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.
Meal period: 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level 1 on a scale of 0-4.
