We are currently hiring an Investment Specialist to support our Wealth Connect (Call Centre) team.
The Investment Specialist - Wealth Connect takes a proactive approach to helping the retail segment of Owners achieve their financial goals – including understanding each Owner’s financial situation, life goals, and tolerance for risk. They will work with other members of the branch and regional teams to ensure all opportunities are identified and referred to the appropriate business, commercial, investment or retail representatives to build a full financial relationship with Owners. Successful Investment Specialists-Wealth Connect must believe that the long-term benefit of investment markets is to generate excess returns over savings and/or other guaranteed deposits. They will communicate this investment option to Owners, colleagues, and potential investors.
This role is dually employed between Libro Credit Union and Credential Asset Management.
The Role:
- Effectively apply advice-based selling and interest-based conversations in all Owner interactions with a focus on investor discipline and behavior
- Primary role will be to build relationships within a defined portfolio of Owners that are appropriate for managed investment solutions (i.e., mutual funds.)
- Refer opportunities seamlessly to appropriate specialists to match expertise to Owner’s identified needs, including complex wealth solutions to Financial Planner and/or Regional Financial Planner
- Foster strong partnerships with all Advice & Service colleagues to identify opportunities and reciprocal referrals within respective portfolios
- Develop collaborative relationships with internal teams and business segments to effectively service Owners and grow business.
- Participate in promotions and location campaigns to build Libro’s brand and grow business.
- Contribute to and provide feedback on team business plan for continual improvement and results.
- Meet the compliance of established Libro and regulatory policies, procedures and processes to effectively and accurately serve Owners.
- Make smart risk decisions that protect our Owners and Libro.
- Must maintain all continuing education and licensing requirements of the various regulators and self-regulating organizations: e.g., OSC, MFDA, CAM, FP Canada, CSI, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
- Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Business, Finance, or related field.
- 1 to 3 years work questions in a sales customer service environment. Financial services experience an asset.
- Mutual Funds license.
- Completion of, or willingness to work towards competition of PFP or CFP designation.
- A passion for helping people grow their financial well-being.
