Engagement and Communications Officer About The Role This role is available on a temporary basis. We are seeking a dynamic and creative� Communications and Engagement Officer �to lead on communications activity for a key council project, priority, or service area. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact by shaping how we engage with stakeholders and communities, and by supporting meaningful culture change.

You�ll work closely with the council�s corporate communications team and relevant internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality, strategic communications that raise awareness, drive engagement, and support the success of the project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to encourage active support and contribution.
  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive communications and engagement plan tailored to the project.
  • Lead marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels to raise the profile of the project and the council�s work.
  • Create high-quality, brand-aligned communications that meet corporate identity standards.
  • Improve stakeholder engagement and customer satisfaction across key audiences including staff, members, customers, and communities.
  • Support forward planning of communications and engagement activity.
  • Contribute to project performance and help drive cultural change.
