About the role
Description
This position reports to the Materials Manager and is primarily responsible for monitoring stock levels, ordering when required and flagging issues.
Responsibilities
- Represent Delta?s core values of Integrity, Service and Quality in relationships with both internal staff members and external customers and suppliers.
- Follow Delta Elevator policies and procedures, Employee Manual, and Health & Safety Manual Guidelines
- Monitor and track stock and ensure we do not run out of parts in stock, ordering when required, flagging issues when they occur and helping with solutions.
- Moving materials around the shop
- Assembly of parts
- Assisting with putting away received parts for stock.
- Emptying of metal waste bins.
- Assisting with lifting heavy parts in various areas.
- Must have G license and be comfortable driving large straight truck
- Other duties as assigned.
Authority
· Prevent the use of unsafe, non-conforming or environmentally damaging product.
Qualifications
· Basic knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes
· Mechanically apt (using hand tools, understanding of wrenches, hardware etc.)
· Physically capable (parts are heavy and need to be lifted and moved frequently)
· Ability to operate machinery including forklift and crane.
Ability to operate a computer
Skills
· Able to attain forklift and crane operator licenses
· Ability to work as a team player
· Self- motivated
Ability to perform continuous heavy lifting

Our highly skilled fabricating staff uses state-of-the-art CNC equipment to manufacture elevators and controllers, ensuring that only consistent high-quality products bear the Delta Elevator name. All employees undergo rigorous on-the-job and in-the-classroom technical training, as well as thorough safety training.
We offer 24-hour service with an average after-hours telephone response time of less than 30 minutes.
