Reporting to the Campus Manager, Haileybury, the Caretaker will perform caretaking and some minor groundskeeping duties. Ensures that buildings and property are secure, floors and walkways are safe and rubbish is removed on a regular basis to ensure attractive and suitable surroundings for staff and students.
What you will be doing:
- Vacuum and clean carpets/floors;
- Clean restrooms, offices, and classrooms;
- Order supplies and receive deliveries;
- Move and set-up furniture and equipment;
- Correspond with public contractors; and
- Ensure the safe keeping of all College buildings and property by monitoring appropriate security measures.

What you will need to be considered:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Minimum 6 months of experience as a building caretaker;
- Valid Class G Driver’s License; and
- First Aid/CPR and WHMIS is required.
The successful candidate will be able to manage their time effectively, work both alone and in a team, be punctual, reliable, and trustworthy. The incumbent will have the ability to perform and develop good cleaning methods with knowledge of chemicals and safe workplace practices.
