About the role

Our Chalk River location is looking for a Wellness Coordinator to promote healthy workplace practices and build a culture that supports physical, mental, and emotional well-being. What will you be doing!

Maintaining and promoting established Health and Wellness initiatives for all CNL sites and for remote workers. Coordinating, administering, delivering, and enhancing health promotion events in CNL’s Ten-Year Health & Wellness Strategy. Completing health risk or well-being assessments periodically. Developing and formalizing health and wellness program utilization, evaluation metrics and documentation. Researching wellness and health program resources that could benefit our employees. Conducting meetings as needed to discuss, develop, and promote wellness activities, and to facilitate health and wellness presentations with various stakeholders. Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What We Are Looking For

Education

Bachelor’s degree in health promotion, nursing, kinesiology, public health or equivalent. Certification/education in fitness/wellness preferred. Proof of membership in good standing with a regulatory health professional body such as a Registered Nurse, Registered Practical Nurse, Registered Kinesiologist, or Registered Dietician, with the required malpractice insurance, considered an asset. Valid Class “G” driver’s license or equivalent. Certified in Standard First Aid and CPR.

Experience

3-5 years of proven experience in developing and implementing wellness programs within a unionized environment preferred. Experience in performing physical, cognitive, and psychological demands analysis considered an asset.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Bilingualism an asset. Ability to prioritize and triage competing priorities in response to changing needs of the company/department. Demonstrated strong conceptual, strategic and visionary skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to facilitate presentations/workshops for large and small groups on a variety of wellness topics, either in person or via webinar, as requested.

Security Clearance Eligibility Required

Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.” Working Conditions

Working schedule: Five (5) days per week, seven and a half (7.5) hours per day for a thirty-seven and a half (37.5) hour work week. Travel may be required from time to time.
