As a Calibration Technologist at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll contribute to maintaining and repairing bench top scientific instruments that enable our customers to make breakthrough discoveries. You'll diagnose, calibrate, and repair a wide range of precision instruments including temperature, mass, pipettes, and laboratory automation equipment. You'll provide exceptional customer service while ensuring all repairs meet our rigorous quality standards. This position offers the opportunity to work with precision technology while contributing to our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
Education/Experience:
- College diploma required, no prior experience required
- Preferred Fields of Study: Engineering Technology, Electronics, Engineering or related technical field
- Technical certifications relevant to instrument repair and calibration
- Strong technical expertise in calibration, preventive maintenance, and repair procedures
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.)
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Excellent documentation abilities for service reports and technical procedures
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Physical capacity to lift up to 60 pounds and work in various positions
- Experience with quality control systems and ISO standards
- Strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures
- Bilingual skills (particularly English/French) beneficial
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical abilities
Compensation
The estimated annualized pay range for this position in Ontario is $46,600.00–$69,850.00.
