Construction Project Manager
About the role
In this role, you will be primarily responsible for leading the execution of data centre infrastructure projects from project award through final completion. Serving as the central point of coordination between customers, contractors, consultants, engineering teams, manufacturing facilities, and installation partners, you will ensure projects are successfully executed from start to finish.
Responsibilities Project Execution & Scheduling: Lead infrastructure projects from order handoff through commissioning and closeout, developing and maintaining detailed project schedules, milestones, and deliverables. Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the primary customer contact during project execution, building strong, collaborative relationships with owners, consultants, contractors, channel partners, and end users. Operations & Logistics: Coordinate internal engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and installation activities to ensure seamless project delivery. Financial & Commercial Controls: Monitor project budgets, labor costs, subcontractor expenditures, and overall profitability while managing change orders, submittals, RFIs, and closeout packages. Risk & Quality Assurance: Conduct routine site visits to monitor installation progress, quality, and safety compliance, while identifying project risks and developing robust mitigation plans. Project Lifecycle Reviews: Conduct thorough project bid reviews before submitting quotes, and execute comprehensive closeout reviews once a project is completed. Business Growth & Optimization: Support customer-facing meetings and site activities to help identify future project opportunities while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural Technology, Project Management, or equivalent work experience. 3–5 years of experience in project management, project engineering, construction coordination, or project delivery. Proven experience managing customer-facing construction or infrastructure projects within demanding, multi-priority environments. Strong background in project scheduling, budgeting, procurement, contract administration, and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Valid driver's license with the ability to travel across regions for site activities and business needs. PMP designation or equivalent professional project management certification is preferred.
Technical Skills Required Project Management Software: Proficiency or hands-on experience with tools such as MS Project, AutoCAD, BIM, Bluebeam, or similar industry project coordination software. Mission-Critical Infrastructure: Specialized experience or a comprehensive understanding of data centres, electrical, mechanical, or telecommunications infrastructure sectors. Commercial Awareness: Deep capability in budget monitoring, labor cost tracking, subcontractor expenditure management, and drafting change orders. Risk Mitigation & Problem Solving: Proven expertise in identifying resource constraints, proactively managing project delays, and executing risk mitigation plans. Process Optimization: Comprehensive understanding of coordinating end-to-end workflows across procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and site installation to streamline project delivery.
