About the role
Within the Portfolio and Projects Administrative Department, our experienced team of project leaders works closely with P&C insurance business sectors and IT teams to implement strategic initiatives. Together, we deliver high-value-added projects that serve Desjardins members and clients. As a project leader, you’ll help business teams carry out strategic initiatives and grow in a collaborative environment where the challenges are numerous, but rewarding. You’ll ensure the coordination and strategic direction of a complex and high-priority project, or group of projects, in alignment with organizational objectives. More specifically, you will be required to:
- Ensure the coordination and strategic direction of all consolidated initiatives and update the roadmap
- Help project managers deliver their respective initiatives. Act as a strategic coach by advising them on planning, managing issues and aligning deliverables
- Ensure that shared processes and governance mechanisms are implemented and monitored by project leaders and the core team to ensure consistency in execution
- Support sponsors and delegated sponsors by respecting delivery processes and key milestones
- Identify and address cross-sector issues that go beyond the scope of individual projects and help resolve them
- Work closely with IT and Business teams to ensure seamless communication, a shared understanding of objectives and effective coordination
- Identify, assess and mitigate key risks that could affect the consistency, timelines or quality of deliverables

What you bring to the table
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of eight years of relevant experience
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Experience in project management, ideally in multi-project or program contexts
- Professional certification in project management (PMP)
- Knowledge of French is required
- Advanced proficiency in governance practices: roadmap management, budget monitoring, risk identification and treatment, reporting
