Position Description:
We are seeking a Senior BIM/VDC Manager to champion and lead our digital construction strategy. This pivotal role involves architecting and overseeing the entire VDC/BIM ecosystem, from process automation and generative design to final project execution.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge workflows, ensuring seamless coordination between internal teams and external consultants, and driving the technological innovation that keeps Stack Modular at the forefront of the industry. This is a leadership role for a technical expert who is passionate about building and mentoring within a design team.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a comprehensive VDC/BIM strategy, driving automation, generative design, and 3D/4D tool implementation to enhance design and project efficiency.

Take a progressive role in researching and integrating VDC/BIM tools and features that will set the Corporation apart from its market competitors.

Establish and maintain corporate-wide Revit template files, content libraries, and BIM standards.

Lead, mentor, and train the design team on BIM/VDC standards, best practices, and new software tools.

Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.

Coordinate with the design team to ensure the timely and accurate development of design information required for project shop drawings.

Oversee project design fluidity and ensure successful outcomes through the expert use of VDC/BIM software and processes.

Act as the primary BIM liaison in project-specific consultant meetings, guiding modular coordination and resolving clashes.

Coordinate with BIM service providers and subcontractors to ensure adherence to Stack Modular's standards.

Partner with Project Management, Procurement, and other departments on software integration initiatives, including Project Management and ERP systems.

Support various departments by generating and managing auto-generated BIM material takeoffs and modular massings.

Use dashboards and analytics (e.g., Power BI) to track progress, productivity, and quality.

Promote a collaborative model-based workflow that supports better decision-making.

Develop parametric assemblies and libraries for repeatable modular components.
-
Lead initiatives to build a library of standardized module types and assemblies.

Establish and enforce modeling standards, naming conventions, and data structures (e.g., shared parameters, Revit families, assemblies).
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in the construction industry, with significant exposure to commercial or multi-family projects.
- Expert-level proficiency in Revit.
- Demonstrated expertise with related BIM/VDC software (e.g., Assemble, Navisworks, Dynamo, Fuzor, Revizto), SQL Server and scripting (C# and Python).
- Experience with Acumatica ERP is an asset.
- Expert-level knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) collaboration tools.
- University degree or college certificate in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, Design, or a related field.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in training and mentoring.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical teams.
- Proactive, innovative, and solutions-oriented mindset with a desire to push the boundaries of modular construction.
- Proficiency in data integration so that the development of automation in modular construction workflows is achieved.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel to Shanghai, China as required.
