About the Role
Insight Global is seeking Robotics Assemblers to join an innovative technology company in Kitchener, ON that designs and manufactures advanced underwater robotic systems used for seafloor exploration and research. This is a hands-on assembly position ideal for individuals with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, or product assembly experience who enjoy working with their hands and are eager to learn in a fast-paced environment. You'll be responsible for assembling robotic systems and components while working closely with a collaborative team focused on quality, continuous improvement, and innovation.
Responsibilities
Assemble robotic systems and subassemblies according to work instructions and technical drawings Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, crimping tools, and other assembly equipment Complete wiring, cable routing, and wiring harness installations Perform quality inspections to ensure products meet company standards Troubleshoot minor assembly issues and escalate concerns when necessary Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Collaborate with teammates to meet production goals and deadlines Contribute ideas and ask questions to support process improvements
Required Qualifications
2+ year of hands-on experience in assembly, manufacturing, production, furniture assembly, computer assembly, or a similar environment Experience working with hand tools Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to follow instructions and learn new processes quickly Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
Robotics assembly experience Mechanical assembly experience Electrical assembly experience Experience with wiring harnesses, crimping tools, or low-voltage electrical work Technical, robotics, automation, mechatronics, or electronics background
