We’re committed to pushing boundaries and leaving our mark as we reinvent the future of ecommerce for enthusiasts.

Join a team of passionate thinkers, innovators, and dreamers — and help us connect people and build communities to create economic opportunity for all.

About The Team And The Role We’re looking for a Staff Product Designer to join eBay’s End-to-End Regulatory design team, where you’ll help craft the future of compliance through intelligent, user-centered solutions. In this role, you’ll focus on crafting seamless, AI- and machine learning-powered experiences that simplify global compliance for our customers, from listing to post-sale. You’ll play a key role in crafting solutions that transform complex regulatory requirements into intuitive, scalable product experiences, helping our sellers stay compliant and competitive across global markets.

As a designer on this team, you’ll collaborate with product managers, engineers, researchers, content strategists, and fellow designers to translate eBay’s regulatory vision into real-world impact. We’re seeking a motivated, systems-minded designer who excels in ambiguity, champions teamwork, and possesses a strong foundation in product and visual design craft. This is a rare opportunity to spearhead work at scale, building experiences that help millions of users navigate compliance with confidence!

This role reports to the Senior Design Manager for Regulatory.

What You Will Accomplish

  • Design scalable, AI-powered product experiences that enable and empower global compliance for all sellers to meet regulatory requirements with confidence.
  • Build high-fidelity prototypes and design artifacts that bring sophisticated ideas to life, ensuring flexibility across surfaces and adherence to design system standards.
  • Use research insights, partner feedback, and data to iteratively improve designs and elevate the overall user experience for compliance touchpoints.
  • Advocate for inclusive, accessible, and globally relevant design practices that reflect eBay’s diverse customer base and dedication to equitable solutions.

What You Will Bring

  • 8+ years of proven-experience in Product Design, Interaction Design, or a related field, ideally with exposure to regulatory, financial, or international policy design. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is welcome—what matters most is what you’ve built and how you think, and how you align your team.
  • Deep proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD), with the ability to move fluidly from low-fidelity concepts to polished, production-ready hand-off files
  • Outstanding communication and storytelling skills—you know how to explain design decisions with clarity, listen deeply, and build strong cross-functional relationships across design, product, legal, and engineering.
  • A bias for collaboration and action. You’re determined, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to move work forward independently or as part of a highly collaborative team.
  • Standout Skill: Systems Thinking in Regulated Environments: You see the big picture. You connect regulatory frameworks, business constraints, and user needs to craft sophisticated, scalable solutions. You bring clarity to complexity and craft experiences that make compliance feel simple and empowering.
