Work location
This role will be based at the Edmonton Branch, located at 7223 68th Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB T6B 3T6.
Why this role matters
The Projects Manager is responsible for driving projects that align with EBH’s financial goals and product portfolio in the Edmonton area market. This role focuses on building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and agencies while collaborating with the Edmonton Branch Manager and local account manager. This role requires sales and leadership ability as the successful candidate will have topline revenue and employee responsibility. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of growing commercial sales in the electrical industry, particularly in lighting and power distribution.
What to expect in the role
Sales Growth:
- Develop and execute sales plans targeting new and existing customers.
- Identify market opportunities, either bid tender or design build, and solidify relationships with key accounts, vendors, and agencies.
Customer Service:
- Maintain strong customer relationships through sales calls, project delivery, and follow-ups.
- Review project specifications and ensure successful project package delivery.
- Provide resolution support and coordinate with key stakeholders as required.
Quotations:
- Direct and lead project quotations to complete bid packages.
- Review drawings and specifications to ensure customer needs are met.
- Follow up with customers on pending and completed quotes.
Quality & Leadership:
- Oversee staffing requirements for the Projects Team.
- Ensure quality standards are met by identifying and preventing issues.
- Lead with a customer-first mindset, strong presentation skills, and the ability to inspire others.
Ideal candidate profile
- A diploma or degree in electrical or business discipline, OR Redseal Electrician.
- 3-5+ years of Commercial Business Development.
- 5+ years of experience in the local electrical market.
- The preferred candidate will have experience with local vendors and agents.
- Demonstrated proficiency with project management (closing and negotiation).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS 365, Salesforce, and financial reporting.
- Travel within the local market with a valid driver’s license.
