Dans ce rôle, vous assumerez la responsabilité technique globale des activités d’ingénierie liées aux projets de recharge pour véhicules électriques, depuis la phase d’appel d’offres jusqu’à l’exécution.
Vous participerez à la conception de systèmes de recharge robustes, évolutifs et centrés sur les besoins des clients, soutenant le déploiement d’infrastructures de transport durable à travers l’Amérique du Nord. Vous évoluerez dans un environnement hautement collaboratif, en étroite interaction avec les équipes Ventes, Appels d’offres, Gestion de projets, R&D, Approvisionnement ainsi que les équipes d’installation et de mise en service sur site.

Votre impact
- Assumer la responsabilité technique globale des activités d’ingénierie des projets et appels d’offres
- Concevoir des systèmes de recharge pour véhicules électriques (eMobility) et leurs architectures
- Coordonner les travaux d’ingénierie primaire et secondaire (implantation, schémas électriques, diagrammes de connexion)
- Réaliser les calculs de dimensionnement et préparer les spécifications techniques
- Examiner les offres techniques des fournisseurs et collaborer avec la chaîne d’approvisionnement
- Fournir un soutien technique durant les phases d’appel d’offres et d’exécution des projets clients
- Animer les échanges techniques avec les clients et traiter les questions techniques sur site
- Contribuer à l’optimisation continue des solutions techniques en fonction des exigences
Votre profil
- Baccalauréat en génie électrique, avec spécialisation en électronique de puissance, systèmes de puissance ou distribution électrique
- Plus de 3 ans d’expérience en ingénierie des systèmes de puissance, incluant les sous‑stations moyenne tension et la distribution basse tension AC/DC
- Plus de 3 ans d’expérience avec des convertisseurs de puissance et des projets d’alimentation DC, idéalement en eMobility ou dépôts d’autobus
- Solide connaissance des codes électriques du Canada et des États‑Unis, incluant les normes ANSI et IEEE
- Expérience avec des outils d’ingénierie tels qu’AutoCAD, BIM ou outils similaires
- Disponibilité à voyager jusqu’à 20 % du temps pour des projets et rencontres clients

eMobility Systems Engineer
The opportunity
Join Hitachi Energy at the forefront of the energy transition and play a key role in shaping the future of electric mobility. In this role, you will take overall technical responsibility for engineering activities across eMobility electric vehicle charging projects, from tender phase through execution. You will contribute to the design of robust, scalable, and customer‑focused charging systems that support sustainable transportation across North America.
You will work in a highly collaborative environment, partnering closely with Sales, Tender Management, Project Management, R&D, Supply Chain, and Site Installation and Commissioning teams. Your expertise will help translate customer requirements into optimized technical solutions while ensuring quality, safety, and performance throughout the project lifecycle.

How you'll make an impact
- Hold overall technical responsibility for engineering activities on projects and tenders
- Design eMobility electric vehicle charging systems and system architectures
- Coordinate primary and secondary engineering packages, including layouts and electrical schematics
- Develop sizing calculations, specifications, and review supplier technical offers
- Provide technical support during tendering and customer project execution
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Lead technical discussions with customers and address site‑related technical queries
- Contribute to continuous optimization of technical solutions based on requirements
Your background
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power electronics, power systems, or electrical distribution
- More than 3 years of experience in power systems engineering, including MV substations and LV AC/DC distribution
- More than 3 years of experience with power converters and DC power supply projects, ideally in eMobility or bus depots
- Strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. electrical codes, including ANSI and IEEE standards
- Experience with engineering tools such as AutoCAD, BIM, and related design platforms
- Ability to travel up to 20% for project activities and customer meetings
Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada.
