Job Purpose & Responsibilities
Reporting to FCSS Manager, the Social Programs Coordinator is responsible for:
- The coordination, development, implementation and evaluation of FCSS programs
- The collaboration with agencies, organizations, community members, staff and volunteers to develop services to seniors, adults and vulnerable populations
- Assisting and acquiring necessary funding for FCSS programming including appropriate sponsorship and grant applications
- Working to develop a yearly program plan while considering the community needs, budget implications, and the FCSS mandate
- Supervising and coordinating the work of FCSS facilitators
Qualifications & Competencies
- Post-secondary Diploma in a Human Services field
- Experience in the coordination of multiple community programs and special initiatives
- Experience with program budgeting, and experience supervising staff and coordinating volunteers
- A satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Child Intervention Record Check
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite is required
- Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proven organizational skills, decision making skills, and a detail-oriented work style in order to manage multiple projects
More Details
The wage for this position is 35.30/hr. Hours of work are 35 hours per week. This position does require flexibility for evening and weekend shifts subject to programming schedules.
