Personal Support Worker – 1:1 Home Care Short Shift Afternoons
About the role
We are looking for Personal Support Workers who are interested to work in a home setting located in Etobicoke Central. This is an ongoing role from 1pm to 5pm, Monday to Friday, ideal for candidates who have availability in the afternoon.

Scope and Responsibilities
- Ensure client safety is maintained at all times.
- Assist clients with overall daily hygiene including bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing.
- Support clients with ambulation, transfers, and mobility through mobility aids such as wheelchairs to avoid fall and injury.
- Assist clients with their meals by aiding with eating, ensuring proper nutrition, and ensuring dietary requirements are being met as well as monitoring dietary restrictions.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to the clients by listening to their needs, being attentive, engaging in a conversation, and providing encouragement and reassurance to promote social interaction.
- Monitor changes in behavior, health, and overall well-being.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols
Minimum Qualifications
- Personal Support Worker (PSW) Diploma from an accredited institution
- NACC certificate if credentials were obtained from a private career college
- Valid First Aid and CPR certificate
- Valid Mask Fit certificate
- Experience with neurological or high-risk clients preferred
- English proficiency required (must be able to communicate clearly spoken and written with client, family, and care team
