About the role
Job Purpose:
The Support Analyst is responsible to provide technical support to NSSL’s internal and external clients.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and user issues (Windows, Microsoft 365, and Android).
- Manage IT inventory: track assets, maintain records of issued equipment, and ensure proper lifecycle management.
- Enforce IT and security policies, ensuring end-user compliance with company standards.
- Support onboarding/offboarding processes: prepare accounts, devices, and access for new and departing users.
- Maintain and configure mobile devices through our MDM platform (MobileIron).
- Assist with user account management, email setup, and permissions within Microsoft 365 Admin Center and Active Directory.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity, printing, and peripheral issues as needed.
- Support IT projects and deployments as assigned by the Infrastructure & Deployment Manager.
- Document procedures, incidents, and resolutions in the IT ticketing system.
- Some minor building maintenance duties
- Other duties as required.
- In Office Monday to Friday 12pm to 8pm
Qualifications:
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building
- Ability to clearly communicate over email and phone
- Ability to enforce IT standards and communicate policy expectations clearly.
- 2 years of experience of related customer service
- Skill in operating system administration. (e.g., account maintenance, data backups, maintain system performance, install and configure new hardware/software).
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and customer service skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of system administration, network, and operating system hardening techniques.
- Experience working with MS365, Google Enterprise, Android and Mobile Device management an asset.
- Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail in asset and inventory management.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- A college diploma or university degree in the field of computer science or equivalent experience is an asset.
- Warehouse/distribution/logistics/transportation experience is an asset
