Responsibilities In This Role You Will:
- Make outbound contact attempts to customers, insurance brokers and insurance companies to confirm insurance coverage and collect policies within company guidelines.
- Respond to inbound calls and written correspondence related to insurance policy issues and confirmation from customers, dealers, insurance brokers and insurance companies.
- Audit for accuracy and completeness of insurance policies coverages to ensure they meet minimum contractual/coverage requirements. Liaise with third party vendor to update, correct and accurately reflect insurance tracking status on accounts assigned for follow-up.
- Review reports identifying province/name changes and follow up for new registrations and insurance policies to ensure insurance coverage requirements.
- Prepare miscellaneous authorization letters (storage, out of country) as required/requested within procedural guidelines. Respond to customer and dealer inquiries regarding insurance coverage in a timely and efficient manner.
- Make recommendations on escalated/unresolved files, including but not limited to repossession once all efforts for resolution have been exhausted.
- Counseling – providing customers with options when trying to resolve difficult files - Frequently.
Qualifications

- Comprehensive understanding of a range of services, processes, procedures, systems and concepts related to leasing and insurance.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and manage a large workload for optimum efficiency.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to prioritize workload to meet department objectives efficiently
- Proven ability to work cooperatively with peers and managers to bring accounts to favorable resolution while building a positive work environment
- Detailed knowledge of contractural and security agreements
- Understands and complies with regulatory requirements in all jurisdictions
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Advanced understanding of vehicle insurance policy coverages
Experience
- Minimum 1 year work related experience in professional collections, customer service, insurance tracking or other auto industry related work experience.
- Advanced knowledge MS Office suite of products
- Previous experience in a call center environment
- High school diploma required
