Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly technical and organized Team Lead, Data Engineering to lead the design, development, and optimization of our data infrastructure across multiple platforms. In this role, you will ensure seamless data integration for production pipelines and enable accurate BI reporting and insights by building ELT/ETL connections that deliver clean, stable data into Snowflake. You will work closely with cross-functional teams in digital development, software engineering, and analytics to support new initiatives, proactively identifying data requirements and designing scalable solutions to meet them. This position blends leadership, architectural vision, and hands-on development using tools such as Informatica and MuleSoft.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated success in leading and delivering data engineering projects within fast-paced, collaborative environments;
• Strong hands-on expertise in Informatica, MuleSoft, dbt, and Snowflake, including pipeline development and orchestration;
• Deep understanding of data architecture to suggest the optimal data modelling, transformation, and performance tuning approaches;
• Experience integrating data from external platforms using APIs and webhooks, following best practices to ensure secure connections;
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects with clear communication and agile delivery;
• Ability to provide realistic ETAs and maintain clear and thorough documentation;
• Ensure data security and privacy compliance by implementing practices aligned with GDPR, Quebec’s Law 25, and relevant U.S. state-level regulations, including secure data handling, access controls, and audit-ready documentation;
• Experience leading peer code reviews and managing version control using GitHub.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field;
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 2 years in a technical or team lead capacity;
• Expertise in designing ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica, along with integrating APIs and webhooks through MuleSoft;
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations including GDPR, Law 25, and U.S. state-level compliance, with experience implementing secure data practices;
• Experienced in integrating and managing data from S3 buckets or SFTP sources;
• Advanced SQL and Python programming skills;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of leading cross-functional initiatives;
• Prior experience in the fashion retail or E-commerce industry is a strong asset.
