We’re looking for a caring, reliable, and mechanically inclined professional to join us as an Installations & Service Technician . In this role, you’ll deliver, install, and maintain mobility and accessibility equipment such as stair lifts, porch lifts, ceiling lifts, scooters, power and manual wheelchairs, and bathroom safety products — equipment our clients depend on every day. This is a hands-on, client-facing role ideal for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and meaningful work that directly improves people’s lives.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver, install, and maintain client mobility and accessibility equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues with professionalism and care
- Maintain and service company and client-owned equipment
- Provide exceptional customer service and identify opportunities to improve client solutions
- Assist with receiving, preparing, and sanitizing rental or showroom equipment
- Keep shop and vehicle workspaces organized, safe, and efficient
- Maintain accurate records of service activities using Method:CRM, QuickBooks, and related systems
- Support the development of Standard Operating Procedures for installations, troubleshooting, and safety practices
What You Bring
- Proven dependability, strong work ethic, and commitment to safety
- Mechanical aptitude with basic electrical or electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Experience using hand and power tools; good manual dexterity
- Excellent communication and client service skills, with a compassionate and respectful attitude
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Computer literacy (email, record-keeping, scheduling; Microsoft Office an asset)
Education & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in equipment installation, servicing, or related mechanical work
- Experience in home renovations, construction, or similar technical fields an asset
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving abstract
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (occasionally heavier with assistance)
- Must pass a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
