This posting is for up to two unionized contractual appointments. A Teaching Assistant is a Graduate Student employed to assist the Course Supervisor as a Teaching Assistant in a classroom environment. Teaching Assistant Positions are governed by the Collective Agreement between McGill University and the Association of Graduate Students Employed at McGill (AGSEM).

Position Summary:

Responsible for evaluation of students' term assignments and final exams. Term assignment will be a case study on developing an empirically driven talent identification and development system. Responsible for offering feedback in real time (forum or virtual meetings) to students throughout the semester about the term assignments or the content of the course when they have questions. Requirements: Must be thorough, diligent and consistent.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Physical and Health Education, Psychology or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of determinants of sport performance;
  • Strong interest in high-performance sports;
  • Working knowledge of motor and psychological development;
  • Strong writer and communicator;
  • Strong critical thinking.
