About the role
The successful Software Developer co-op student will contribute to the development of Windows desktop applications, back-end services, network services and manufacturing tools for new R&D embedded systems and telematics projects. The student will work closely with software developers, system designers, IT department and manufacturing. Candidates must have a proven understanding of software development principles. A keen interest in embedded, control systems and/or mechatronics is desirable.

Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, document and deploy applications and services in C# and .NET.
- Assist with commissioning systems into manufacturing processes.
- Develop new features and improvements for back-end systems which integrate with machine controls and telematics.
- Analyze, optimize and maintain large data systems utilizing data engineering skills.
Qualifications (experience/skills):
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Hands-on, creative, self-motivated, willing to take on challenging technical tasks and research.
- Ability to quickly learn and comprehend new systems in order to start contributing from day one.
- C#, .NET, SQL databases, C/C++, Linux, network and web technologies.
- Prior experience with source code revision and software development life cycles.
- Knowledge of back-end systems, networks and databases is an asset.

- Please note there are no remote or hybrid co-op positions available
- Mandatory cover letter, resume, and current transcript required
- This location (Cambridge) is accessible by public transportation, however your own transportation is recommended for travel to machine test sites, other plants etc.
