Role Descrg>iption: The IT Support Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Waterdown, ON, providing day-to-day technical support to team members and local operations. This role includes diagnosing and resolving issues with desktop computers, printers, and related peripherals, as well as performing routine maintenance and computer repairs to ensure systems remain reliable and secure. The technician will respond to support tickets, document solutions, and escalate complex issues when needed, while assisting with hardware and software installations, upgrades, and inventory tracking. Collaboration with other IT staff and business stakeholders is essential to maintain smooth technology operations and support continuous improvement across the site.
Qualifications:
Technical Support skills, including user assistance, ticket management, and customer-focused service. Experience with Desktop Computers, including configuration, deployment, and operating system support. Strong Troubleshooting abilities for hardware, software, and network connectivity issues. Printer Support skills, including installation, configuration, and resolving print-related problems. Computer Repair capabilities, such as component replacement, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance. Familiarity with Windows operating systems, basic networking concepts, and common office productivity tools. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical team members. Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Relevant technical certification or diploma (e.g., IT support, computer engineering, or related field) preferred. Previous experience in a healthcare, manufacturing, or logistics environment is an asset.
