Job Description We are currently seeking a Payments & Cash Management Advisor to join our team.
The Payment and Cash Management Advisor provides support to all commercial hubs for commercial/business accounts (primarily non-borrowing accounts) that require complex payments and cash management support. The PCM Advisor is an integral part of the commercial banking deal team and structures tailored banking proposals in conjunction with key stakeholders and partners with commercial and retail business lines. Identifies and follow up on business development opportunities and supports the growth of products for business delivered by all FW lines of business and our external product partners.
Here’s what would be included as a part of your typical day
- Business Development: Proactively develops and expands existing relationships, centres of influence and member relationships for commercial and retail opportunities. Integral to the commercial/business banking deal team completing detailed analysis of needs and presents findings in conjunction with deal team, looking to deepen the share of wallet in both commercial and retail areas. Solution minded presentations to enhance the trusted advisory position of First West commercial/business team.
- Sales and Service Strategy: Develops and achieves on annual basis, budget and marketing plans for the FW commercial portfolio. Provides support to the commercial team and the retail banking network on payments and cash management services (FX, EFT, ADP, Merchant Services), deposit knowledge and any other banking services. Markets one’s self as trusted advisor by Identifying opportunities to deepen the share of the wallet through wealth and deposits.
- Risk Management: Works closely with treasury to determine appropriate rates and service pricing models. Gathers information from specific product specialists to determine products and services that would be appropriate to include in a proposal.
Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- 4 years in a business banking sales role or equivalent experience required
- Proven skills in business development, sales and relationship building; recognized as a top performer in field
- Ability to quickly establish and sustain credibility with business owners and managers as a financial service provider
- Skills and experience in investment and lending products and services
- Demonstrated effective speaking /listening and written communication skills, as well as effective presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, specifically MS Excel and Word.
- Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by being able to demonstrate adherence to policies and procedures.
