About the role

Why is this role important?

Working with the Program Lead, Digital Analytics the Analyst plays a key role in building on CIHI’s digital analytics foundation by supporting on-going product performance reporting, providing analysis and insights on key projects, as well as documentation of methodology, data collection and process. This role will work closely with teams across CIHI including User Experience, Information Architecture, Search Engine Optimization as well as Communication and Marketing to help measure impact and identify opportunities to drive innovation.

What you'll do

  1. Analyze large datasets to uncover actionable insights that inform business decisions about digital products and content. This may include integrating different data sources such as Google Analytics, CRM data, business intelligence products (i.e. MicroStrategy, Qlik). marketing channel data (email, social media, advertising), and other data sources.

  2. Synthesizes data into summary reports and/or interactive dashboards to create compelling data visualizations to help guide analysis and decision making.

  3. Works collaboratively within the Marketing Team and with UX designers and CIHI’s Program Areas and other key stakeholders to provide the analytics perspective and establish measurement objectives for new projects. This includes defining KPIs, identifying measurement challenges, defining methodology, as well as developing and executing measurement plans.

  4. Assist in the overall administration of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Looker Studio platforms.

  5. Clearly communicate project status to team members, project stakeholders, and management.

  6. Provide support for developing analytics documentation and maintaining the Digital Analytics Confluence site.

  7. Stay up to date on emerging trends, topics, and technologies in the analytics space.

  8. Respects privacy and confidentiality of information by adhering to policies in Privacy and Confidentiality of Health Information at CIHI and related procedures and directives.

What you'll bring to the table

• Undergraduate degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, Statistics.

• One to three years’ experience conducting marketing and/or business analytics with a track record of delivering actionable insights and marketing effectiveness analysis.

• Experience in digital marketing with exposure to SEO, SEM, paid advertising platforms (Bing/Google Ads, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter), social media, email marketing and/or marketing automation platforms (Marketo, Pardot, Hubspot, Eloqua).

• Experience creating data visualizations and dashboards using tools like Google Looker Studio, Tableau, or Qlik.

• Experience with Google Analytics (preferred) or a similar platform.

• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate with both technology and business stakeholders.

• Strong verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical business audiences. Basic understanding of UX/UI design best practices, HTML, CSS, Regular Expressions (RegEx) and SQL.

• Fluency in English required, bilingualism in both official languages is an asset.
