As a Mechanical Engineering intern, you will join a talented, world-class team, building breakthrough technologies, working on the next generation of aviation systems.
Role Overview Collaborate with QA/QC and engineering teams to design and implement product life cycle testing equipment and test plans.
Conduct stress tests to validate product life cycle projections.
Perform various testing procedures to verify product functionality after updates or changes.
Collect, analyze, and present data on product testing outcomes.
Develop and apply practical solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Carry out planning, design, and construction of test rigs
Select and implement mechanical and electromechanical components for high reliability and modular test systems.
Carry out verification and validation testing, documenting results and flagging issues.
Automation of testing processes.
Participate in sprint meetings and provide progress updates, as well as feedback on internal processes.
Required Qualifications Enrolled in a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering degree as part of a co-op program.
Able to work onsite in Edmonton, Alberta.
Available for an 8-month work term starting January 2026
Able to work in a multidisciplinary environment, communicating across department lines.
Ability to work hands-on with various tools and equipment to develop prototypes.
Desire to learn new skills in a fast manner.
Detail-oriented, with excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications Previous co-op work term experience or student club experience.
Microcontroller experience.
CAD experience (SolidWorks, Fusion, Onshape, etc.)
Prototyping Experience.
Fabrication experience (3D printing, CNC, etc).
