About the role

Position Summary The Junior Financial Analyst supports the maintenance of detailed financial models for operational assets and ensuring accurate monthly data integration. The analyst contributes to insurance coordination, cash management reporting, and compliance with debt covenants. The analyst also supports budgeting and forecasting activities.

REPORTING The Junior Financial Analyst reports to the Manager of Finance.

Accountabilities

  • Assist in maintaining and regularly updating detailed Excel-based financial models for all operational assets,and ensuring monthly trial balance data and revenue figures are accurately reflected.
  • Integrate monthly trial balance (TB) data and revenue invoices from the accounting folders to ensure models reflect current performance.
  • Assist in gathering and organizing insurance certificates for all assets during the annual renewal periods in September and December.
  • Ensure documentation is complete and accessible for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the preparation of cash management reports and monitor bank account balances.
  • Contribute to the preparation of quarterly debt covenant compliance packages.
  • Support the annual budgeting process and medium-term financial forecasts.
  • Assist in tracking and organizing monthly invoices related to SWAP payments.
  • Participate in FP&A report consolidation and help improve Excel-based tools.
  • Support the M&A activity and collaborate with the development team on the presentations.
  • Assist in tracking and organizing monthly invoices related to SWAP payments.
  • Assist with letter of credit draft (to issue, amend, etc..) and maintain the summary file.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or completed a university degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Bilingual, both orally and in writing (French and English).
  • Familiarity with JD Edwards is considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with individuals across sites, corporate offices, and financial institutions.

Knowledge of English is required for this specific position as Kruger deals with partners across North America and the successful candidate will be required to communicate frequently with them. Kruger has taken all reasonable steps to avoid imposing English language requirements, including assessing the actual language needs associated with the duties to be performed, ensuring that the language skills already required of other employees were insufficient for the performance of those duties, and limiting as much as possible the number of positions with duties requiring English language skills.
