Deliverables
- Design and build a responsive website optimized for both desktop and mobile devices
- Develop dedicated sections for book listings, author biography, news/updates, and contact information
- Integrate e-commerce functionality for direct book sales and secure payment processing
- Implement newsletter signup and social media integration to enhance reader engagement
- Ensure SEO best practices are applied for discoverability
- Provide basic training or documentation for ongoing content updates
Requirements
- Proven experience designing and developing author or book-related websites
- Strong proficiency in web design tools and platforms (e.g., WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, or custom solutions)
- Solid understanding of e-commerce integration and payment gateways
- Excellent visual design skills with attention to branding and user experience
- Knowledge of SEO fundamentals and website analytics
- Ability to communicate effectively and deliver work remotely
- Availability to collaborate within UK time zones preferred
