Under the direction of the Technical Manager, you will play a critical role by designing, developing, testing, and supporting control systems and automation solutions for manufacturing equipment, HVAC systems, and new product development. As a part of our Technical team, you will ensure equipment reliability, process efficiency, and compliance with safety and quality standards remain supported and prioritized.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and program PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for automation projects.
  • Develop control logic, electrical schematics, and functional specifications.
  • Support installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization of equipment.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate control solutions.
  • Maintain documentation for control systems, including diagrams, software versions, and change history.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for automation issues.
  • Ensure systems meet regulatory, safety, and other required standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and capital project initiatives.
  • Track actions, risks, and issues while maintaining program documentation and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO requirements, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate product data, specifications, and documentation in relevant systems.
  • Support execution of product changes, launches, and operational activities.
  • Support adoption of standardized tools, templates, and methods.

Skills, Education, and/or Experience

  • Education in Electrical or Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • Previous experience in a controls engineering, programming, or similar role preferred.
  • Familiarity with product launches and design for manufacturing, HVAC industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing and engineering tools, systems, and methodologies.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills required.
  • Organizational and time management skills required.
  • Previous experience with quality control and process improvement preferred.
  • Able to work proficiently in a team-oriented setting, as well as independently.
  • Familiarity with Health and Safety guidelines.

Job Conditions

Physical Demands:

  • Light physical effort – able to lift between 20lbs.
  • Sitting, lifting, squatting, pushing, pulling, or reaching for intermittent or extended periods.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting as a desk and looking at a computer.

Work Environment:

  • Factory, Warehouse, Distribution Center, Office
  • May be exposed to loud, repetitive sounds from machinery or equipment
  • May use chemicals or other in accordance with MSDS
  • May operate machinery in close proximity or with objects exposed to eyes or face
