Our client is a leading global specialty geotechnical contractor that delivers innovative foundation and ground engineering solutions for complex infrastructure, commercial, industrial, and civil construction projects. With a strong reputation for technical expertise, safety, and project execution, they are seeking a Project Coordinator to join their growing team.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator will play a key role in supporting projects from the estimating and planning stages through construction and final project closeout. Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Superintendents, field personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients, you will help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This position supports a major infrastructure project in Kitimat, British Columbia, and follows a Fly-In Fly-Out (FIFO) schedule of 10 days on site followed by 5 days off. Flights, accommodations, meals, and camp are provided while on rotation. Responsibilities

Support projects from estimating and planning through construction and project closeout. Assist with preparing project budgets, schedules, and project execution plans. Coordinate project submittals, procurement activities, quality control documentation, and turnover packages. Review project drawings and specifications while identifying potential scheduling issues, cost-saving opportunities, and construction challenges. Monitor labour, equipment, material, subcontractor, and supplier costs while maintaining accurate project records. Track project progress and prepare regular project reports. Coordinate the mobilization of equipment, materials, and project personnel to site. Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients throughout all phases of the project. Support project invoicing and cost tracking activities. Promote a strong health, safety, and environmental culture while ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Travel to project sites as required to support project execution and coordination activities.

Requirements

Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline. Previous experience as a Project Coordinator, Field Coordinator, Project Engineer, or similar role within construction, heavy civil, geotechnical, mining, industrial, or infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of construction project coordination, scheduling, budgeting, and project documentation. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience with project management software is considered an asset. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability and willingness to work a 10 days on / 5 days off Fly-In Fly-Out (FIFO) rotation to Kitimat, BC. Comfortable working in a remote camp environment. Valid driver's license.
