Job Description

Allied Universal is seeking Security Guard- Banking in Barrie, Ontario.

Job Title:Security Guard- Banking

Location: Barrie, ON

Type: Full time

Pay Rate: $20.74 per hour

Shifts: Monday- Sunday, 0730-1930 (Continental- Days)

Requirement: 5-Year residency in Canada for clearance purposes

Overview :

We are currently seeking a professional Full-Time Security Guard - Banking Site to join our team at a high-profile banking site in Barrie, ON.This position is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for employees, clients, visitors, and contractors. The successful candidate will play a key role in protecting the facility, monitoring daily operations, and responding to security-related incidents while upholding the professional standards expected within a banking environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout the banking facility

• Monitor all entrances, exits, and restricted areas to ensure only authorized individuals gain access

• Conduct regular patrols of the interior and exterior of the property to identify security or safety concerns

• Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, and access control systems to detect suspicious activity or security breaches

• Provide customer service and assistance to employees, clients, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner

• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, disturbances, or suspicious activity and follow site escalation procedures

• Assist with opening and closing procedures as required by site operations

• Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity reports, and occurrence documentation accurately and professionally

• Enforce site policies, procedures, and safety regulations while maintaining confidentiality and discretion

• Coordinate with emergency services, management, and internal teams during emergencies or critical incidents

• Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining awareness of potential risks and security threats

• Ensure all security equipment and systems are functioning properly and report deficiencies immediately

REQUIREMENTS :

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in corporate, commercial, or banking security

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License

• Valid First Aid & CPR certification

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours per week

• Strong communication, customer service, and conflict resolution skills

• Excellent observation and report-writing abilities

• Ability to remain calm, professional, and attentive in high-pressure situations

• Experience working with CCTV, alarm systems, and access control systems is considered an asset

• Professional appearance and demeanor required for a corporate banking environment
