The Payroll Product Specialist serves as the functional expert for CGI's payroll solutions. The role supports sales, project delivery, and support teams to ensure successful implementations, optimal use of the solution, and compliance with payroll regulations for clients across Canada.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Act as the functional subject matter expert for CGI's Payroll and Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions, including payroll, time management, and HR systems. Support sales and business development activities through product demonstrations, client needs assessments, and responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Advise clients on payroll processes, best practices, and applicable regulatory requirements. Contribute to professional services engagements requiring advanced expertise in payroll, workforce management, and HR solutions. Collaborate with the Center of Excellence to resolve complex payroll, configuration, and product-related issues. Deliver training sessions and develop user guides and supporting documentation. Gather client feedback and contribute to the continuous improvement of products and services. Represent CGI and participate in promotional and marketing events.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

5 to 10 years of experience in payroll, consulting, or payroll and HR solution support. Practical knowledge of payroll solutions and various Payroll/HR systems used in the Canadian market. Ability to simplify and communicate complex concepts to both business and non-technical audiences. Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to gather, clarify, and communicate business requirements effectively.

Key Qualifications

Experience in pre-sales, consulting, or business analysis. Knowledge of HRIS integrations and data flow management. National Payroll Institute certification or an equivalent professional designation. Strong customer focus and service orientation. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams and stakeholders. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Bilingualism (French and English), both written and spoken.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $60 000- $115 000
