What is the opportunity?
RBC Right Pay launched April 2016 to support disbursement of the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), Toronto, and Ontario Works payments for benefit recipients, by means of a reloadable prepaid Visa card to replace cheques.
Overall RBC Right Pay supports over 187 government office locations and 700+ platform users, supporting more than 60,000 cardholders. In this role, you will be accountable for the strategy, execution and delivery of the migration of the Right Pay program from the current processing provider to a new vendor. You will assist in executing strategies across channels and multiple partners and external client stakeholders in order to ensure program continuity.
What will you do?
- In conjunction with the new vendor, help develop and maintain client facing administration consoles for use at government office sites for functions that include instant card issuance and replacement, reporting and program administration.
- Collaborate with the new vendor and/or RBC IT partners to update or replace the existing Prepaid Management Application to modernize and integrate into new Right Pay platform with enhanced features
- Work with the new vendor to on-board/configure a third-party call centre, IVR and cardholder website to replace services provided by existing vendor
- Work across a broad set of partners including card business, BFS, operations, legal, compliance, risk and technology teams to deploy a new vendor solution
- In collaboration with the new vendor and government client, support the conversion of existing Right Pay cards in market to the new processor, avoiding interruption for cardholders
- Right Pay P&L oversight, ongoing product management, client management and occasional engagement with internal RBC public sector Account Managers
- Manage updates to client program agreements ensuring changes are captured and executed accordingly.
- Provide ongoing updates to senior leaders across both Personal and Commercial businesses to provide status updates on the progress of the migration and ongoing management of the Right Pay program
- Own the management of finance, escalations, contractual obligations, compliance & risk issues for the full suite of prepaid products

Must have:
- Well-developed interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective working relationships and elicit cooperation from internal partners
- Strategic business sense with planning and implementation capabilities
- Critical thinking skills with ability to resolve issues through innovative solutions
- Strong communication skills (listening, understanding and responding)
- Attention to detail
- Proven time and self-management skills
- Demonstrated experience within the prepaid or credit card industry is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience leading cross functional projects/programs is strongly preferred
Nice to have:
- Experience developing new products and capabilities
- Experience in go-to-market initiatives
- Payments based experience including product management, fraud, disputes, data analytics
- Experience with card program conversions
