Pay Rate: $23.00/hour Shift: Monday to Friday | 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM (Night Shift) Employment Type: Full-Time Start Date: ASAP
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Linehaul Coordinator to join our transportation operations team. This role is responsible for planning fleet movements, coordinating customer loads, maximizing fleet utilization, and ensuring service excellence while maintaining profitability. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing transportation operations, coordinating with internal teams, and supporting carrier relationships in a fast-paced logistics environment. Please Note: Canadian logistics/transportation experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate fleet movements and assign available equipment to customer loads while ensuring service commitments are met. Optimize fleet utilization by balancing internal fleet capacity with third-party carrier usage. Monitor transportation costs and ensure the most cost-effective solutions are utilized. Coordinate with carriers, fleet managers, and customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate shipment execution. Determine capacity for additional freight opportunities while maintaining service and profitability targets. Monitor fleet availability and ensure compliance with customer requirements and transportation regulations. Coordinate third-party carrier utilization when internal fleet capacity is unavailable. Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to transportation inquiries and resolving operational issues. Prepare operational reports and support continuous process improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve transportation efficiency and service performance.
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, dispatch, linehaul, or fleet operations. Minimum 2 years of fleet management or fleet coordination experience. Canadian logistics/transportation experience is required. Strong knowledge of transportation planning, fleet utilization, and carrier management. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation management software. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and make sound operational decisions in a fast-paced environment. Experience interpreting operational reports and using data to improve business performance. Strong leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
