About the role
Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or equipment. Sort and package fabricated parts onto a cart according to the subassembly list and deliver to point of use in the plant (manually or with equipment). Check to ensure subassembly counts are correct and items meet a visual quality inspection and report any discrepancies to the fabrication area. May perform other activities such as assisting in taking inventory and weighing/checking and sorting materials. Put away received materials to proper storage locations Confirm inventory transactions are complete. Participate in clean-up. Performs all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code. Other duties as required. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner. Effective communication skills. Time management skills. Critical eye for identifying defects. Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods, and the tools required in various assembly processes. Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule. Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures. Must be able to carry and move equipment and/or supplies in excess of 40 pounds. Working Conditions Commercial/Industrial environment. Exercise caution, as the environment presents many naturally occurring hazards. Always adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment). Employee may be exposed to uncomfortable work settings such as cold weather outdoors; may have combinations of standing, crouching, or sitting throughout the day. Overtime as required.
